Budget Everest Base Camp leisure trip in 9 days, Different Everest travel experience and money value!
(PRWEB) February 08, 2013
After previous years’ quality travel services, Tibet Ctrip Travel Service currently announces a new Budget Tibet Everest Group Tour. “Travelers need to avoid serious mountain sickness before going to the Everest Base Camp which is 5200 meters above sea level. And they need to have enough time to have more opportunities to view the clear face of the Mt. Everest. So it is just great to get to the Rongphu Monastery or the campsite earlier in the day if they leave from Shegar town rather than Shigatse city,” the travel agency’s professional Advisor Tony said.
Here is the Tibet Everest Budget tour program.
Day 1: Arrive in Lhasa. Guides will meet travelers at the airport and transfer them to their hotel. It’s best to rest, relax, and drink lots of water today. Care should be taken not to over exert ones self.
Day 2: Today the tour groups will really begin to experience the Tibetan culture on tour. They will have an easy day of walking while visiting the Jokhang temple and the Barkhor Bazaar. In the afternoon, it will be time to see the debating monks at the Sera Monastery. Over past centuries, the Sera Monastery has become famous as a place for the Buddhist scholarly learning. Also another big highlight is to visit the famous Potala Palace which is the winter place of Dalai Lama.
Day 3: Today the tour group will see something different. They will be transferred to the east suburb and countryside village to visit the Drak Yerpa Meditation Caves and the Ganden Monastery as well as the Jiama Village which is the hometown of the Tibetan King-Songtsan Gampo.
Day 4: Today the driving route is from Lhasa to Shigatse. In the morning around 9 am, the group will leave Lhasa for Shigatse city along the southern friendship highway through Gyantse. Crossing over the summit of Kamba La (4794 m), travelers can see the tranquil turquoise water of the Lake Yamdrok. Yamdrok is one of the three holiest lakes in Tibet. Far in the distance travelers can view the towering massif of Mt. Nojin Kangtsang (7191m) and the staggering Karo-la Glacier (5045m).
Day 5: Today tourists will visit the famous Tashilumpu Monastery and then take the landscape trip to Shegar.
This morning travelers have a chance to visit the Tashilumpu Monastery, the home of the Panchen Lama, which is essentially a walled town with cobbled and twisting lanes that revolve around a magnificent monastery. Then tour group will be taken to the Shegar town via the Gyatsola mountain pass (altitude 5140 m). Have a rest and prepare for Everest highlight adventure tomorrow.
Day 6: Drive from Shegar to the Rongbuk Monastery and the Campsite, tourists can trek to Everest Base Camp
Depart from Shegar in the early morning around 8 am and drive about 30 km to the Gyula Mountain pass where travelers may have the opportunity to take photos of the amazing Everest Sunrise, and then have a straight drive to the Rongbuk Monastery (70 km) where to rest few minutes. Rongphu Monastery is the highest monastery in the world. After some rest in Rongphu monastery, tour group will continue the drive to campsite (around 11:30 am) and check in the local tented guesthouses. For those trekkers, it is great to do the 4 km high altitude trekking to Everest Base Camp and enjoy the view to the Great Mt. Everest. At around 8 pm, the tour group may have good opportunity to visit the Everest Sunset nearby their tent. It is really awesome.
Day 7: Mt. Everest B.C-Shigatse, 340 km landscape trip
