CompoClay - Turns One!

CompoClay helped the city of Alameda solve a major problem

CompoClay a Northern California green company will celebrate the important milestone of being in business for one year on the evening of Thursday, November 11. The events will commence at 5 p.m. with tasty treats, refreshments, prizes and wonderful people highlighting the evening. Additionally, CompoClay will also offer 50 percent off its entire store to celebrate this momentous occasion. This event is free and open to the public and will take place at the CompoClay Showroom and Resource Center at Crocker Galleria 60 Post Street San Francisco CA 94104.

One year ago, CompoClay opened its doors for the first time in the United States, introducing an eco-friendly alternative to conventional materials in the home décor and building industries. As the anniversary approaches, CompoClay has recently learned that they have been approved by the San Francisco Department of the Environment and is now officially recognized as a San Francisco Green Business.

CompoClay is an eco-friendly material, mainly made of minerals, water and sand. It’s completely non-hazardous and non-combustible. It has the ability to emulate everything from wood and metal to stone and ceramic, without sacrificing safety and durability. CompoClay offers green home accents, garden décor and building products.

The first year for CompoClay was quite successful. They established their first U.S. headquarters in Northern California, opened up a 4,000 square foot showroom at a prime downtown San Francisco location, added key projects to its portfolio and took its product national. All that is just the beginning. CompoClay can feel that there is a real green movement underway and they are here to stay.

“CompoClay helped the city of Alameda solve a major problem. They solved the continued deterioration of wooden Historic Station Signs by replicating them to look exactly the same but creating them out of the longer lasting CompoClay. The company was great to work with. We will use them again,” says Sue Russel, Development Coordinator & Film Liaison for the city of Alameda.

CompoClay is located at 2536 Santa Clara Avenue, Alameda, CA 94501 and can be reached at 510-769-5179 or on their website at http://www.compoclay.com.
