TechPalooza Event to Connect Tech Companies with Small Businesses

Six East Bay chambers of commerce are joining together to present TechPalooza 2012: Transforming Small Business through Technology.

The Antioch and Pittsburg chambers of commerce will be incorporating the Antioch, Pittsburg, Brentwood, Oakley, Discovery Bay and Bay Point chambers of commerce to host TechPalooza 2012, a daylong roundtable event dedicated to educating 200 small business owners on ways to transform their business through technology and give technology vendors an opportunity to disseminate information on products that can help small businesses succeed. The event will take place from 11:30 am to 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 5 at Los Medanos Community College in Pittsburg. Sponsorship opportunities are still available.

“Being an attorney and small business owner in Antioch, I saw a need to have an event to educate our small business community on technology. Instead of having an Antioch only event I wanted to join with other chambers such as Pittsburg to make this a large regional event which benefits all of the local businesses and technology presenters,” says Matthew Hart, Antioch Chamber, Technology Chair Executive Board Member.

The day’s agenda will be as follows:

11:30 am to 12:00 pm – Registration
12:00 pm to 7:00 pm – Vendor area is open
12:00 pm to 1:00 pm – Food is served in the vendor area
1:00 pm to 2:00 pm – Keynote speakers (two small businesses who have used technology to transform their business)
2:15 pm to 3:15 pm – Roundtables
3:30 pm to 4:30 pm – Roundtables
4:45 pm to 5:45 pm – Roundtables
6:00 pm to 7:00 pm – Reception in vendor area, food served
7:00 pm – conference closes

The event will have three roundtables, each comprised of four to five vendors who will speak on a topic for 10 minutes that fits within the theme of the roundtable: 1) Small Business Systems and Security, 2) Apps and Mobility and 3) Using Technology for Marketing. Each roundtable will repeat 3 times to better accommodate attendees and give more people a chance to ask questions at the end of the session.

The vendor area will be open throughout the conference, with food served at the beginning and end of the event to entice people to come in and mingle. Vendors are encouraged to bring any technology they would like to present with face-to-face conversations; in fact, vendors are encouraged to bring technologies they are not speaking on during the roundtables in order to make the conference as diverse as possible.

Logo on all print and mail press releases and marketing to businesses. This will include a blast of 30,000 direct marketing messages to possible business attendees.

ROOM SPONSORSHIP – (Maximum of 3 sponsors)
The keynote and roundtables will take place in 3 different rooms:

Recital Hall $5,000 (limited to one sponsor)
This room is the largest and will host the keynote for all attendees. The sponsor who chooses to sponsor this room will have their roundtable located in this room.

Drama Theater $2,500 (limited to one sponsor)
This room will house one of the roundtables. The sponsor who chooses to sponsor this room will have their roundtable located in this room.

Student Meeting Area $2,500 (limited to one sponsor)
This room will house one of the roundtables. The sponsor who chooses to sponsor this room will have their roundtable located in this room.
