Business Wire promoted Mark Essa to Vice President, Competitive Sales & Analysis, a newly created position.

He has an uncanny ability to absorb information and then compress it into meaningful summaries, along with comparisons, for others to utilize.

    In his new role, Essa now concentrates on providing competitive intelligence and analysis for Business Wire's existing services and ongoing product development. He is responsible for detailed analysis, employee education and external sales communications on industry and competitive initiatives. Essa also continues in his role as Vice President/Regional Manager for the Los Angeles area, reporting to Frank Yetter, Senior Vice President of Global Sales.

Essa joined Business Wire in 1991 as an Account Executive and moved up to Senior Account Executive and then Los Angeles Sales Manager before his Vice President positions. He received a B.A. in Psychology from the UC Santa Barbara.
