A new survey of 500 CEOs suggests that 90% desire more exclusivity, more credibility, and more real-time interaction within an online business network.

Online business networking sites have proven themselves to be more than a passing trend. Business leaders and executives are increasingly using the Internet to exchange information and find new opportunities through interaction with their peers. But a new survey has demonstrated a requirement for a more exclusive, private and interactive experience than that offered by the major business networks.

Our members value the fact that everyone on our site is a top-level decision maker The survey, which was sponsored by the new CEO Lounge, questioned 500 CEOs, Senior Executives and Business Owners (all of whom use at least one of the major business networks) and focused on the online networking needs of these individuals.

According to the survey: -

85% use business-networking sites to find new business opportunities.
90% rate exclusivity as a "very important" attribute of a business network.
93% want real-time interaction within a business network.
