New Directory Project Begins Indexing IT Companies Worldwide

The first web directory that indexes IT companies worldwide has been launched. The global IT Companies directory allows end-users to search for IT service providers by country, type of IT services or keywords. It also allows IT companies to post IT solutions, white papers and case studies free.

Singapore (PRWEB) September 27, 2006 -- IT professionals and businesses can now look forward to a new directory project that will save them time searching for IT companies worldwide. Launched this week, the Global IT Companies directory is the first web directory that allows end-users to search for IT service providers by country, type of IT services or keywords in more than 50 countries at http://www.itmess.com.

There are presently more than 600 IT companies listed in the directory, with 5000 more expected to be indexed by end of 2007. The directory currently accepts listing from 57 countries, with the flexibility to add more on demand. End-users can browse by country, IT service category (i.e IT Security, Software) or use the advance search to find keywords across multiple categories.

"The uniqueness of this project is that end-users, no matter where they are, can search for IT companies locally, in neighbouring countries or globally from just 1 website. Beside the convenience, they also save precious time by getting results that are always relevant and specific to a country." Johnny Lim, the founder said.

As a free site, end-users and IT companies are not required to pay for services. IT companies either get indexed by human editors or they can submit a request online. Once indexed, information related to a company gets replicated to all countries that it operates automatically.

IT companies can also sign up for an online account to post IT solutions, white papers and case studies, at no cost. Beside English, they can choose to use Chinese, Japanese, German or other languages, to target different international markets.

"Like an open source movement, we are releasing this directory for free use. We are confident IT service providers will find this vertical directory more focused and useful than general or paid directories and yellow pages currently available ." Johnny added.
