Element Customer Care: Powered by CSG Systems

Matt Zemon, founder and CEO of Element Customer Care and AmericanCSR has been named one of the Top 50 Entrepreneurs in the Triangle by Business Leader magazine. Business Leader honored Zemon in a ceremony on February 26 in Raleigh and will feature him in the magazine’s March 2010 issue.

In October 2006, Matt Zemon created Element Customer Care to provide small and medium sized cable systems with CSG Systems Billing Services, 24 x 7 customer service and technical support. Over the past three years Element has grown into an organization that is supporting over 400 cable franchises in 29 states with a team of over 250 employees and contractors.

Over the past year Zemon has made a commitment to bringing work to Americans who need and want the work. To do this he partnered with call center in the cloud technology from LiveOps that allows Element Customer Care and AmericanCSR to route calls to customer service representatives across the United States. As of June, 2009 Element became a 100% American organization and no longer sends any calls to off-shore agents.

Zemon is currently leveraging the customer service call center capabilities of Element Customer Care to provide answering services for small and medium businesses with his new company, AmericanCSR. AmericanCSR gives the business owner real time control over how their phones are answered and where their messages are delivered through a web 2.0 interface. Through AmericanCSR Zemon now offers message taking, lead qualification, order taking and appointment setting services all with American customer service representatives to a variety of industries.

The foundation of both businesses is to provide excellence in customer service. Under Zemon’s leadership the organizations maintain that every employee in every department is responsible for customer service.

"At Element Customer Care and AmericanCSR we are trust our employees to consistently deliver superior customer service and we ask them to commit to a social contract based on personal integrity and a commitment to excellence. In return for their pledge, we commit to creating a work atmosphere that is a meritocracy where our employees are given respect, autonomy and flexibility."

Zemon is an active member of the Raleigh Durham chapter of EO (Entrepreneurs' Organization) and has served for four years on the board of the North Carolina Master Chorale.

Zemon has a history of entrepreneurial activities in the Triangle. Prior to starting Element Customer Care and AmericanCSR, Zemon was the co-founder and President of Bulk TV & Internet, a Raleigh-based private cable operator recently recognized with inclusion in the Inc. 500.

Business Leader Magazine has recognized the Triangle’s most prominent business leaders as the Top 50 Entrepreneurs since 1996.
