...the number one thing she hears from clients is that they want to look pulled together.

On Tuesday February 12th, 2013, Elizabeth Gordon, host of Results Matter radio on Business RadioX® was joined by Bonnie Buol Ruszczyk, the President and Founder of bbr marketing, Dolly Evans with Small Business Services and Carmen Westbrook, an Image Consultant and owner of Naked – Fashion Help to talk about Atlanta Independent Women’s Network (AIWN) as well as detailing their businesses, careers and paths to success.

The Atlanta Independent Women's Network was created as a place where women could provide encouragement and help each other succeed. To support the mission, AIWN provides educational and networking events every six weeks. The events include topics of interest both on a business and personal level.

Unlike many networking groups, the leadership strives to have the organization be a valued resource and great place to meet other interesting women, and a place to have fun.

Bonnie Buol Ruszczyk is the President and Founder of bbr marketing, a firm that provides marketing strategy and services to professional services firms. By having such a narrow market, she has been able to create a name for herself and her company, and was recently named “One to Watch” by AccountingToday on their Top 100 Most Influential People of 2011. She attributes the awareness and growth of her firm to a number of things, one of the most effective has been making connections with others and actively networking among her peers. Bonnie says, “I’m never hesitant to make introductions to colleagues. My hope is that they will eventually work together, refer business to each other or simply enjoy getting to know each other.”

Dolly Evans with Small Business Services has developed three successful businesses over a 20 year period and works with her clients to do the same. She provides planning and affiliated financial and accounting services to owner managed businesses and says she loves doing it.

Carmen Westbrook is an Image Consultant and owner of Naked – Fashion Help. In addition to working with men and women to help them improve their overall image through smart wardrobe choices, she’s developed a 45-minute presentation called “Pull Yourself Together!” that she presents to professional women’s groups. She talked about the presentation and why she developed it noting that the “number one thing she hears from clients is that they want to look pulled together.”
