Cahaba Media Group Announces Talented Additions to Editorial Team

Cahaba Media Group, a publisher of trade magazines and websites, announces three additions to its editorial team.

Cahaba Media Group, publisher of four trade magazines and seven websites, is proud to announce three additions to its editorial team.

Jeana Durst joins the team as editor of Construction Business Owner magazine. For more than six years, Durst has written and edited for newspapers and magazines, including a national women’s health and fitness magazine. Her experience includes editing a local shelter publication where she worked closely with residential construction business owners. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Samford University and completed her master’s degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

“Jeana is an extremely talented, experienced and energetic professional who is dedicated to making positive changes to the look and content of Construction Business Owner,” says VP of Editorial, Michelle Segrest. “She brings fresh ideas to the table, and then springs into action to execute them with absolute excellence.”

Lori Ditoro joins the Cahaba Media Group editorial team as managing editor of Pumps & Systems and Upstream Pumping Solutions. Ditoro graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in History. She has been a writer and editor for 18 years. Her experience includes work as a writer and product development specialist for an educational publisher, managing editor of publications for an international consulting firm and an award-winning freelance writer for multiple regional publications and companies.

“Lori is extremely very intelligent and experienced,” says Segrest. “She has been able to learn quickly and adapt easily to the highly complicated material that makes Pumps & Systems the global leader in pumping technology. In addition, she has already made an impact in the quality of content for our new publication, Upstream Pumping Solutions.”

Cahaba Media Group also welcomes Kellie Sandrik to the editorial team. Sandrik serves as editor of Senior Care Products and managing editor of Construction Business Owner. Sandrik has 11 years of experience as an editor and writer. She began her career in the power/energy sector, and has since worked on various publications within the power, telco and CATV markets, facility and building safety industries and travel industry.

“Kellie is a breath of fresh air,” says Segrest. “She has the ability to take a project and run with it and requires little direction. In a short time, her knowledge and experience have already made a positive impact on the editorial quality of two Cahaba Media titles.”
