Clik Elite 'Adventure Photography Packs' Fill Gap in Outdoor Photography Market
Clik Elite fills a niche in the outdoor sport photography market with an exclusive line of performance packs. After producing high performance backpacks for the medical field and with over 25 years designing outdoor packs, Clik Elite now manufactures packs for the photography market. The product line was launched at the PMA show in Las Vegas and is available at REI.com.
St. George, UT (PRWEB) June 2, 2009 -- Clik Elite announces a new line of high performance packs for the adventure sports photography market. The line premiered in March at the PMA Show in Las Vegas. The new web site www.ClikElite.com and blog http://www.clikelite.com/blog were also launched.

The company has signed on with outdoor retailer REI to carry the packs at REI.com and at some REI stores. Other distributors coming soon include B&H Photo, Adorama, Newegg.com.
The founders are photographers and outdoor extremists. The concept for Clik Elite came to company president and lead designer, Bryce Thatcher while he was hiking Mount Ranier. He improvised a chest pack that would keep his camera within reach. Though Thatcher has been designing packs for the outdoor industry for 25 years, there wasn't a photography bag on the market with the features he needed.
Before Clik Elite, photographers had to choose between a camera bag or an outdoor pack. Some created their own packs to carry gear such as SLR's and lenses. Clik Elite combines the features of both kinds of packs so there's no more juggling lenses in a hydration pack.
Clik Elite addresses photographers' need for performance, comfort and convenience. "Our line is incredibly multifunctional. We've combined the features of a camera bag and a high performance outdoor backpack - including hydration systems, adjustable harnesses and waist belts. Specialized compartments protect and organize your gear. They are designed to go anywhere you want to go," Thatcher said.
Photographers will go to just about any distance or extreme to capture a shot. "Photography is becoming a sport in its own right. I'm not just talking about photographers who shoot base jumpers or big-wave surfers. Even wildlife and landscape photographers are going further into the backcountry. We're offering more advanced gear to meet their needs," said marketing director Gheen Hillman.
The packs are made from high tech materials like ballistic fabric and high-tenacity nylon to withstand rugged use. Inside the packs, soft internal surfaces protect delicate camera gear. They are made to withstand extremes - from a month-long expedition to Everest, two months skiing in Antarctica, to a 150-mile marathon in the Sahara desert.
