What an honor to be included in a national campaign of this magnitude!" Betsey Chesler, Founder
Deerfield Beach, FL (PRWEB) February 02, 2012
At the core of every non-profit there's always a person with a vision and a goal. For Cameras for Kids Foundation (CFKF) it's fine art photographer, Betsey Chesler. Funding events and programs often out of her own pocket, Cameras for Kids was founded with a goal to use photography to help abandon kids rebuild their self-esteem.
Known almost exclusively within the photographic community, CFKF is about to enter the big league of non-profit organizations thanks to a special contest by Cars.com. CFKF has been selected to participate in the Cars Cares corporate giving initiative. Cars Cares has selected seven charities to participate, each chosen because they instill confidence in children and young adults. Participation means CFKF has a chance to receive up to $100,000.
To receive the grand prize, they need to gather more votes than the other participating charities. They need everyone's vote once a day until February 13. All it takes is a click right now and your vote. All it takes is a click right here to vote.
"It's such an honor to be included in an event like this," commented Chesler. "A $100,000 donation would have a major impact on so many underprivileged children living in foster facilities across the United States and would give us a chance to dramatically expand our reach into the community!"
Cars.com has added one more opportunity for you to help. If you're watching the Super Bowl on February 5, use the free mobile app Shazam to tag the Cars.com TV commercial. Each tag puts $1.00 towards whichever charity receives the most votes on Facebook.
"I'm so excited for Betsey and the opportunity to raise awareness for CFKF," commented board member and photo industry executive, Skip Cohen. "I'm the newest member of the board and I've been so impressed with what Betsey and the crew has been able to accomplish so far. It's incredible what they could do with stronger financial support."
Camera for Kids Foundation needs your help. Vote now and once a day until the 13th. Share and help spread the word. Then, Shazam on SuperBowl Sunday.
