Diane Quest Named Senior Account Director at Camino Public Relations

Camino Public Relations is expanding its media relations and crisis communications services for nonprofit organizations and social change campaigns with the appointment of Diane Quest as senior account director.

"Diane is a top-notch communications strategist in the nonprofit world," said Elizabeth Toledo, president of Camino PR. "She leads the field in media strategies that motivate the public to action and promotes social and political change on some of the most contentious and nuanced issues of our time."

Diane has more than ten years of experience in strategic planning and crisis communications. She joined Camino PR from The Pew Charitable Trusts, where she managed the communications operations for a multi-million dollar advocacy project in partnership with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF). The campaign, the Kids’ Safe & Healthful Foods Project, was part of the RWJF childhood obesity program and focused on advocating for federal polices related to child nutrition. Prior to Pew, she was the national media director for Planned Parenthood Federation of America. In that role, she was responsible for the organization’s communications campaigns, and led the media relations department’s effort to provide communications support, consultation and training to more than 90 affiliates across the country. She also worked as the media and legislative liaison at the U.S. State Department’s Office of the Inspector General.

Diane began her career as a television journalist in Texas and brings this critical perspective to work she does today.

Diane holds a master's in political science from American University and a bachelor's in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin.
