The Stephanie Hebert Insurance Agency, a locally managed insurance and financial planning firm serving families and businesses throughout southern Louisiana, is announcing a charity initiative in honor of Katie Savoie, a teacher from a local school recently diagnosed with life-threatening cancer.

Katie was initially diagnosed with Stage 2, Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer on April 6th of this year. Since then, the cancer has spread to her liver and Katie is now facing stage 4 cancer. She has struggled through a double mastectomy, several auxiliary lymph node dissections, and a host of other surgeries, and is now undergoing the beginning stages of reconstruction.

“Breast cancer is a deadly disease that affects one in eight women in our country, and we’re going to do everything we can to help make Katie as comfortable as possible during this difficult time,” says Stephanie Hebert, founder and director of the Stephanie Hebert Insurance Agency.

To publicize the charity event in honor of Katie Savoie, Hebert and her team are connecting with civic leaders, families, business owners, and friends throughout southern Louisiana to gather support and donations on her behalf. The Hebert team is also drafting a full page article for publication in the firm’s online magazine “Our Hometown”: http://www.stephaniehebert.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_43.

Nearly a dozen charitable causes and nonprofit foundations operating in Louisiana have enjoyed the assistance of the Stephanie Hebert Insurance Agency over the last two years. As proud affiliates of the national “Agents of Change” charity support campaign, the Hebert team plans to continue assisting local charities at the rate of one every other month.
