Mishawaka, IN (PRWEB) September 27, 2011
On Wednesday, October 5, 2011 from 3:00 until 5:00pm, Cancer Care Partners will provide free prostate cancer screenings and breast cancer risk assessments to the public. Since space is limited, reservations are required and can be made by calling 574-204-7444. Cancer Care Partners is located at 301 East Day Road in Mishawaka.
Screenings for prostate cancer will include a DRE and PSA test. Breast cancer risk assessments also include education about breast health.
According to the American Cancer Society, over 240,000 new cases of prostate cancer and over 230,000 cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in the United States this year. Cancer screenings and risk assessments increase the chance of detecting many cancers in the very early stages, when they are easier to treat and cure.
