These are real people who are interviewed on CandidCareer.com, working professionals with valuable insights. Who better to guide young adults than those who are doing the job?

For the last eighteen months Candid Career founders Billy Glading and Neilye Garrity have been touring the country interviewing hundreds of working professionals with one goal in mind: to make the initial stages of the career exploration process more effective for young adults.

The result of their efforts is CandidCareer.com. This subscription based website, targeting individuals and institutions alike, grants a user access to the thousands of interview clips within the site’s video library. With interviews ranging from Doctors and Lawyers to Deep Sea Fishermen and much more, Glading says, “Variety and value of content is the key.” Videos are broken down into five key parts: (1) job description, (2) loves and challenges of the job, (3) how to prepare & be successful, (4) the interviewee’s career story and (5) final advice. These are the core questions that all of Candid Career’s interviewed professionals tackle in hopes of guiding young adults towards a career that is right for them.

“YouTube is the #2 search engine on the web,” says Glading, “I think that is a powerful statement from a consumer insights perspective about how people today are seeking to learn through video.”

The user has multiple search options when searching or browsing for careers. Once the user has found a career that peaks their interest, learning more is as easy as clicking play.

When asked what makes Candid Career different from other career exploration tools, founder Billy Glading responded, “These are real people who are interviewed on CandidCareer.com, working professionals with valuable insights. Who better to guide young adults than those who are doing the job?”
