Wilmington, NC (Vocus) August 28, 2009
Sunny isn't just a familiar weather forecast on Wilmington & NC's Cape Fear Coast, it's also the name of a new online resource for last-minute travel deals to the popular coastal destination. On Wednesday, August 26, the Wilmington/Cape Fear Coast Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) launches http://www.sunnysavers.com, a site where visitors will find deep discounts at participating hotels, B&Bs and other accommodations. Throughout the year, new discounts and deals will post every Wednesday to assist visitors with last-minute travel plans. Travelers are encouraged to check the site often for discounts that change from one week to the next, based on current availability and special rates.
The Sunny Savers program is sure to resonate with budget-minded travelers. Here's how it works:
Impulse travelers interested in saving money can visit the website http://www.sunnysavers.com for weekly hotel discounts in Wilmington, Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Wrightsville Beach. More than thirty accommodations throughout Wilmington and North Carolina's Cape Fear Coast are participating in the Sunny Savers program, although during any given week the number of participating accommodations might vary. To help visitors plan their getaways, sunnysavers.com will feature links to the destination's website gocapefearcoast.com, as well as links to things to see and do (attractions, tours, dining, shopping, etc.). Visitors will also be able to access the Twitter feed and Facebook fan page for Wilmington and North Carolina's Cape Fear Coast.
"We believe that the Wilmington/Cape Fear Coast CVB has developed a win-win marketing initiative that will help visitors find great value while also helping our travel partners fill last-minute rooms at reduced prices. It also promotes our coastal destination," states Kim Hufham, president/CEO of the Wilmington/Cape Fear Coast CVB.
The New Hanover County Tourism Development Authority d/b/a Wilmington/Cape Fear Coast Convention and Visitors Bureau is the official destination marketing organization of New Hanover County stimulating economic development through the promotion of travel and tourism.
