Capella University PhD graduate Dr. Susan Deer has been named dean of instruction for SUNY Rockland Community College in Suffern, New York. She previously served as associate vice president at Orange County Community College in Middletown, New York. In her new position, Dr. Deer is responsible for the administration of Rockland Community College's three academic divisions. Rockland Community College, a unit of the State University of New York, serves approximately 6,000 students and is located 25 miles northwest of New York City.
