Classics Car Insurance unveil their new look website for 2012 and go into detail on some of the websites new features.

Classics Car Insurance is a specialist insurance comparison website that connects owners of classic cars with select insurers with a view to bringing down the cost of UK classic car insurance. They have devoted a considerable amount of time and effort in choosing their panel of specialist insurers. Those insurers will endeavour to provide some of the best deals available for classic car insurance.

The website is owned and operated by K9 Media Ltd who have set up several other highly successful comparison price websites as far back as 2008 attracting thousands of customers.

Andy Biggs, CEO of K9 Media, stated "Classics Car Insurance fits extremely well within the structure of our other insurance related price comparison websites that we have been running with considerable success for some time.

We have taken great care in selecting the FSA approved partners who our customers will have access to through our site with a view to providing quotations in what is an extremely specialist sector of the car insurance market. In doing so, we have taken not only price into account, which is an important factor for most people in the current economic climate, but also the quality of the features and benefits of the insurance cover provided by them."

Andy Biggs added "Just as with our other sites, we have made the process of obtaining a quotation straightforward, streamlined and speedy and, having studied a quote, should customers wish to arrange cover with one of our providers, that process is equally as slick resulting in them being able to rapidly go on risk-the same day if they wish."

Classic car insurance provides a choice of third party, third party fire and theft and comprehensive cover. Some of the other benefits that can be included are:

  • Motor Legal costs.
  • Salvage retention.
  • Key Care cover.
  • EU cover for up to 90 days.
  • Unlimited cover for track days arranged by UK clubs.
  • Historic hill climb, sprint and rally cover.
  • Breakdown and recovery in the UK and EU.
  • Multiple car cover on one policy.

Two other options require a little more explanation:

"Agreed Value" cover guarantees to pay out an agreed sum should your car be written off based on a number of factors about your car such as mileage, condition and the restoration level achieved. The same make and model of classic car owned by someone else may not be in as good condition as yours and, therefore, worth considerably less.

"Laid Up" cover enables the car to be covered for fire, theft and accidental damage with reduced premiums reflecting the fact that the vehicle is not being driven for a period due perhaps to your classic car being off the road for restoration or garaged during the winter months.

If you are able to limit your annual mileage to say 1500, 3000, 4500 or 6000 a discount is often provided.

Andy Biggs concluded by saying "If you are the new owner of a classic car looking to insurance it for the first time or your existing cover is due for renewal visit our website and see if you can save any money-it will only take a few minutes."
