CareSource, a public-sector managed care company, has earned recognition for a second year in a row as one of Training magazine's Top 125 companies that excel at staff development and training.
CareSource, listed at number 10 on the top 125 list, joins the ranks of some of America's largest and most successful companies including Best Buy, FedEx, McDonalds and MetLife. The company was honored at the awards gala held February 8 at the Training 2011 Conference & Expo in San Diego, CA. Last year, CareSource was ranked #78.
"We are extremely pleased to be recognized for our company-wide learning and development university," said Pamela Morris, President and CEO. "Our employees make decisions every day based on what's best for our members. CareSource University has been pivotal in providing the learning and development resources our employees need to serve our members effectively."
With choices from more than 500 comprehensive curriculum offerings, CareSource University provides a best-of-class, full-service career planning and development resource to all employees, including clinical licensure programs, new employee on-boarding, leadership and career development, and coaching.
According to Jaclyn Smith, Director, CareSource University, “Our latest employee engagement survey stated that 57% of employees rated our training and development opportunities better than other companies and 86% rated it better than or equal to other companies.”
“Our overall employee satisfaction scores are almost double the national average based on comparisons across all industries and we believe part of that is because of our strong training and development programs,” said Morris.
Training magazine annually selects 125 global and national organizations that exhibit best training practices, evaluation methods and outstanding training initiatives. Awardees range in size from Fortune 500 companies to smaller organizations of 100 plus employees. Judging is based upon elements such as scope of development programs, financial investment in employee development, and how closely training efforts are linked to business goals and objectives.
"We are honored to be a part of the top ten and to be in the same category with nationally known organizations,” said Smith. “We look forward to continuing to train our employees in a way that is innovative, personalized and immediately applicable to our organizational objectives.”
