CarSmarts.com has announced a record setting month for sales leads. Smart Media Solutions LLC publishes three automotive advertising magazines in the greater Atlanta area and the Northeast portion of Georgia. Dan Fagan, Co-Founder, announced “In August, we help generate over 35,000 sales leads to Atlanta’s car dealers. On average, our dealers are investing less the $23 per sales lead. “Although the economy is a challenge, we have expanded distribution, circulation, and have added additional sales people to properly service our customers. We are investing now, so we can help dealers move through these turbulent times.”
The key to producing such cost effective results has been the staff. The sales team is working with dealers to optimize the selection of cars and trucks to maximize call response. Creative use of promotions, ad placement, and composition has resulted in substantial improvements in call response. Recently the company expanded distribution into down town Atlanta, the financial district, and through the more affluent suburbs.
The company’s President and Co-Founder, Chris Snellgrove said: “We not only want to ring the phone, we want the callers to be matched to the type of dealer that is targeting a specific buyer. We help dealers use our publication to reach specific buyers who are just entering the shopping process. By having massive distribution, we have placed magazines all over north Georgia to capture the interest of a car buyer who is just entering the car buying experience. We not only help drive buyers to the dealers, we help the buyers collect information about the automotive market.” The company supports its print publications with several websites that help car shoppers find the best automotive values. Carsmarts.com has been completely redesigned to take advantage of new search engine optimization features to help in website search rankings.
The Staff has grown to include many industry veterans. John Fairchild is managing advertising sales for Wheels N Waves and brings over 15 years of automotive industry experience. John is supported by Brandon Fielding and Mimi Escoriza. Ron Welborn joined the company after fifteen years with an industry leader. Ron’s experience has already helped many dealers increase and nearly double lead production. Randy Deavers, Jennifer Deavers and Kim Marmon have over a combined thirty years of automotive advertising. They have opened and grown new territories while helping dealers find new ways to reach the car shopper. Raul Nieto has teamed with Karen Ondrak to support dealers reaching out to the Spanish speaking Hispanic Market. Marcy Goldson, Jenifer Blake, Jenny McCall, and Dana Phelps have grown the publication’s independent dealer advertising from nothing to the largest of any free publication in Georgia. This staff offer dealers the most experience and help to produce the most cost effective results.
Recently, Smart Media Solutions LLC purchased Wheels-N-Waves Magazine. The addition of another magazine has pushed Smart Media Solutions LLC to the number one position for free automotive publications. CarSmarts Magazine, CarSmarts en Espanol, and Wheels N Waves Magazine are distributed in over 4,200 points through Atlanta and Northeast Georgia. The firm’s intense focus on distribution has kept up with the success of the publications. “Telephone leads are up. We want to create more opportunity for dealer sales; we have completely changed the way automotive magazines are distributed. People want information, they do not want to pay for shopping guides, and the consumer appreciates a dealer that reaches out through targeted advertising messages” says Snellgrove.
CarSmarts Magazine[ will begin distribution to over 130 Kroger stores in http://www.carsmarts.com [North Georgia after October 1, 2008. This major distribution addition for CarSmarts is designed to provide higher magazine pick up rates while maintaining the best value for the dealer. CarSmarts and CarSmarts en Espanol has terminated the distribution agreement with QuikTrip gas stations. “We were fortunate to have partnered with QuikTrip; yet, we struggled to get our magazines into the hands of QT shoppers. We are replacing the QuikTrip distribution points with Kroger stores. We have experience with large retailers and we are confident that our additional investment into larger and more numerous Kroger stores will result in high lead generation” Fagan reports. In addition, the company is expanding the Hispanic community by adding over 150 new distribution points. As the only weekly Spanish automotive solution, CarSmarts en Espanol is supporting dealers with the highest lead support in the market place.
"We are very proud to support dealers in times like these. It is not easy to watch our friends and customers struggle. We are doing everything we can to help dealers. We have held our prices while fuel, paper, distribution, labor, and bad debt expenses have soared. We know that when the market turns around, we will be positioned as the most cost effective solution for automotive advertising. Dealers are our partners and we will continue to make investments that help make each dealer more successful” said Snellgrove.
