With St. Patrick’s Day almost here, now is a great time to try playing Irish music. Derek Byrne was born in Ireland and toured the world for six years as a musician with Riverdance, the phenomenal, international theatrical show of Irish dance and music. He has been a fixture in Wisconsin's Irish scene for the last twelve years. His band "Paddygrass" plays in all the best Irish bars and festivals, including Milwaukee's Irish Fest. He gives regular world drumming workshops specializing in his native culture.
