CaseFileXpress will continue its ongoing education series for assisting courts with implementing a successful eFiling system by hosting eFiling Success: A Chat with the Honorable Judge Brook Hedge, the Chairman of the Technology Committee for Washington, D.C. Superior Court, on Tuesday, September 14 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the eCourts East Conference in Tampa, Fla. The conference, held at the Marriott Waterside, Sept. 13-15, is the first of two hosted this year by National Center for State Courts. eCourts West will be held in Las Vegas, Nev. in December.
"Education and customer service has been at the core of our company since we began implementing eFiling systems in 2003," said Tammy Carter, CaseFileXpress General Manager. "We are excited to host the eFiling Success chat with Judge Hedge. Her experience is invaluable to those courts looking at implementing an eFiling solution."
Judge Hedge was appointed to the Superior Court of the District of Columbia by President George H.W. Bush in 1992. In addition to her leadership on the Court Technology Committee, she also co-chairs the IJIS (Integrated Justice Information System) Management Implementation Committee overseeing the implementation of the case management system, including eFiling, and the Information Technology Advisory Committee of the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council. She has given numerous presentations on eFiling and disciplined business processes for implementing a paperless court including past Court Technology and eCourts conferences.
The eFiling Success educational series is focused on educating courts and filers on how to implement a paperless court seamlessly with filer adoption that provides efficiency and cost-savings for everyone. The chat is the fourth piece of the series which includes Time is Money: eFiling Saves Both, a case study where CaseFileXpress explores the details of how eFiling saves time and money for law firms, an average of $75 per filing and two articles focused on Implementing a Successful eFiling System - Lessons Learned and 5 Road Rules, which were written in collaboration with attorneys, judges, and clerks to highlight key success factors to consider when implementing an eFiling solution.
