FFA’s undertaking of helping students prepare to be the next generation of agriculture leaders goes hand-in-hand with our Be Ready commitment.

Elisa Sagehorn, a senior at Colorado State University (CSU) majoring in ag education, is the winner of the Case IH #BeReady Twitter Contest that was held in conjunction with the recent National FFA Convention. Sagehorn won the grand prize – a new 16 GB Apple iPad 2 with WiFi.
“Case IH is a proud supporter of the National FFA Foundation,” says Kyle Russell, Senior Director of Marketing, Case IH North America. “FFA’s undertaking of helping students prepare to be the next generation of agriculture leaders goes hand-in-hand with our Be Ready commitment.”
The Case IH #BeReady Twitter contest asked students to tweet their response to the question, “What are you doing to be ready for the future of farming?”
Sagehorn, originally from Holyoke, Colo., wrote “I will #BeReady through bringing ag education to elementary schools.” She already is gaining hands-on experiences in ag education as she has presided as a state FFA officer, interned for the Colorado Farm Bureau and currently serves as an Ambassador for the CSU College of Agriculture.
Sagehorn says she’ll use the new iPad 2 as she continues her studies and develops her network. “Building a network of relationships, both personal and professional, is critical because we’re all united in agriculture,” she explains.
“We congratulate Sagehorn on her efforts to serve as an advocate for agriculture and seek out ways to serve our industry,” says Russell. “We hope the iPad 2 will assist her with her these efforts and her studies.”
