Case IH is proud to announce that the new Case IH Patriot 4430 sprayer has been selected as the 2011 CropLife® IRON Product of the Year. The award was recently announced at the Agricultural Retailers Association Conference and Exposition in Boca Raton, Fla.
“We are pleased that the industry recognizes the benefits the Case IH Patriot 4430 sprayer can bring to retailers, custom applicators and producers, helping them improve their efficiency, cover more acres with better accuracy and use less fuel,” says Ken Lehmann, Case IH Application Equipment Sales and Marketing Manager.
Any agricultural equipment introduced during the calendar year can be nominated for the CropLife IRON Product of the Year award. The publication’s staff selects the five finalists from nominations submitted by email from their readers and comments made at trade shows and events, such as the Midwest AG Industries Exposition, Farm Progress Show and Husker Harvest Days. The Product of the Year winner is then determined based upon a month of online voting on the CropLife website and Facebook page.
“The Product of the Year is similar to a People’s Choice award,” says Eric Sfiligoj, editor of CropLife IRON. “The Case IH Patriot 4430 sprayer received more than half of all votes received, making it the clear choice for this honor.”
The first CropLife IRON Product of the Year was awarded in 2007. In 2008, the Case IH Patriot 3330 sprayer was a finalist.
The Case IH Patriot 4430 sprayer is the first sprayer to join the Case IH Efficient Power family, which includes Titan™ 30 Series floaters, Axial-Flow® combines and Steiger®, Magnum™, Puma® and Maxxum® tractors.
The Patriot 4430 sprayer features a Case IH FPT 8.7-liter engine delivering 12 percent more horsepower than its predecessor. Rated at 325 horsepower (hp) with the ability to grow to 356 hp, the Patriot 4430 uses Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology to meet EPA Tier 4A compliance while providing more fuel efficiency and power.
“With the Patriot 4430’s enhanced performance and efficiency, operators can cover more acres using less fuel,” says Lehmann.
Patriot sprayers are well-known for accurate application and making the most of short spraying windows. Case IH sprayers get into wet fields sooner by utilizing the series’ cab-forward, rear-engine design. This configuration provides optimum weight distribution and minimizes soil compaction and rutting potential. In addition, the optional AIM Command® pulse width modulation spray technology ensures accurate and consistent chemical delivery across a wide range of speeds and conditions and is exclusive to Case IH.
The new Patriot 4430 also features an enhanced Surveyor™ cab design with 132 cubic feet of interior space and more than 90 square feet of total glass for better visibility. The cab may be equipped with the optional AFS® Pro 700 display with both guidance and application control functionality.
“Every feature on the Patriot 4430 sprayer was crafted with our customers’ needs for operational efficiency and accurate and timely application in mind,” says Lehmann. “That added value continues to set Patriot sprayers apart.”
