New addition to Outback’s collection of hanging chairs and hammocks will be on display at the Casual Furniture & Accessories Market at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago, September 13-16, 2006.

Outback Chair Company, Inc., manufacturer of the most complete line of remarkably relaxing hanging furniture, announced the introduction of its new Outback Double Lounger, a modern reinterpretation of the traditional porch swing. Providing ample room for two, the Double Lounger is designed for today’s homeowners who long to enjoy the time-honored comfort of relaxing in an old fashioned porch swing -- updated with contemporary styling and sophisticated ergonomic engineering.

“Our dealers across the country tell us that with its wide, curved arms the Outback Lounger is distinctive, exceptionally comfortable, and a top-seller with high margins,” said Jack Bass, president, Outback Chair Company, Inc. “So when we decided to manufacture a double hanging chair, we started with that basic design and re-engineered the product to create the Double Lounger.”

The Double Lounger’s seat is 42 inches wide, 18 inches wider than the standard Lounger seat. It is constructed with a UV-treated, 600x600 denier polyester fabric that is durable and easy to clean. Color choices include navy blue, green, burgundy, sand and camouflage. Two fabric options are available: smooth or basket weave. The Double Lounger features 1.5-inch thick closed cell foam seat cushioning and wide, curved arms fashioned in varnished hardwood. Like all hanging furniture from Outback Chair Company, the Double Lounger is backed by a 10-year warranty. And it even comes complete with two cup holders for those refreshing summertime beverages.

“One of the main reasons we sell hanging furniture from Outback Chair is their commitment to growing their product line with innovative designs,” said Carl Dupree, owner, Palmetto Hammock & Resort Shoppe, Charleston, S.C. “The new Outback Double Lounger looks to be a sure winner.”

Outback Chair Company will display the new Outback Double Lounger at the Casual Furniture & Accessories Market at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago, September 13-16, 2006. The Casual Market is devoted to indoor and outdoor casual furniture and is the only such show in the U.S. that is exclusively endorsed by Summer & Casual Furniture Manufacturers Association and the Casual Furniture Retailers Association. Outback Chair will be located in Market Suite 8-5129.
