By integrating to the TraceLink Network and its collaborative manufacturing capabilities, we can drive greater supply network predictability and feed the development of new strategic supply solutions with our customers.
Woburn, MA (PRWEB) March 10, 2011
TraceLink, Inc., the provider of the world’s first industry-wide supply collaboration network, and Catalent Pharma Solutions, Inc. a leading provider of innovative drug development and delivery solutions for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and consumer healthcare companies, today announced that over half of Catalent’s sites are now live on the TraceLink Network and easily available to customers. Catalent and TraceLink are collaborating on additional capabilities and conducting pilot programs with some of Catalent’s customers.
“To help our customers make the best production decisions and improve supply performance, Catalent strives to build close collaborative relationships based on sharing precise and timely information,” said Roy Satchell, Senior Vice President, Information Technology and Chief Information Officer, Catalent. “By integrating to the TraceLink Network and its collaborative manufacturing capabilities, we can drive greater supply network predictability and feed the development of new strategic supply solutions with our customers.”
The Catalent production sites now live serve over 200 life science companies and include facilities based in Philadelphia PA, Saint Petersburg FL, Woodstock IL and Winchester KY. Pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical customers of these sites enjoy a fast on-ramp to this data through the TraceLink Network’s unique “integrate-once, interoperate-with-everyone” transaction platform. The Network’s pre-built information adapters enable Life Science companies to connect using the method of their choice including XML, SAP IDoc, EDI X12/EDIFACT, CSV and web-based portal.
“The TraceLink Network helps Catalent collaborate with their life science customers to reduce inventory, decrease cycle times and improve right-first-time quality through full integration and shared production visibility across the entire production lifecycle from order to delivery,” said Shabbir Dahod, President and CEO of TraceLink. “In a matter of days, life science companies can begin accessing daily snapshots of inventory information and in a few weeks, can integrate their enterprise systems directly into this real-time production data flow.”
Catalent plans to integrate other production sites throughout 2011 with the goal of eventually connecting all of its commercial manufacturing and packaging sites into the TraceLink Network.
TraceLink helps companies across the Life Sciences supply chain connect and collaborate to improve manufacturing and supply chain performance through the TraceLink Network. The TraceLink Network is a Cloud-based platform that prevents counterfeits, detects diversion, minimizes inventory, reduces cycle-time and ensures on-time delivery for all members of the supply chain by integrating its participants into a network of interoperable, collaborative business processes shared across companies.
Pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical companies and their supply chain partners quickly forge high-value partnerships by connecting with an “integrate-once, interoperate with everyone” transaction platform, an integrated set of shared business objects and a collaborative team workspace based on social networking principles that puts key and actionable supply network data into the hands of business owners.
