Author C.E. Canfield depicts the dark side of the human psyche and the susceptive and dangerous nature of corruption in his new crime thriller novel, “The Judge Who Thought He Was God” (published by AuthorHouse).

In a hospital lobby in New York City, a woman faints. She is heavily pregnant and has lost her memory. After giving birth, the woman takes her baby daughter and raises her with the help of a kindhearted policeman. This policeman helps the woman uncover the past she either forgot or refuses to remember. He lands her a job at the local courthouse where the woman befriends an elderly judge. Their friendship, however, is tested when the elderly judge moves and a new judge takes his seat. Tyrannical and coldhearted, the new judge lays down his own brand of justice, and his actions just might bring down the entire state.

Canfield has thoroughly enjoyed writing “The Judge Who Thought He Was God” and plans to write and publish more books. His advice to other readers and writers is simply, “It pays to be yourself.”

About the Author
C.E. Canfield found inspiration for his first book at a rehabilitation hospital. While visiting his wife, he began talking with one of the other patients, who advised him to write when he was feeling lonely. All he needed, she said, was a first line and a last line. The advice sparked inspiration for Canfield.
