cell towers on property owners' land are becoming more and more valuable to the companies leasing space on these towers.

Wireless subscriptions in the U.S. have surpassed the population of the United States and its territories, according to CTIA’s 2011 semi-annual report. Adding to this, wireless carriers like Verizon Wireless and AT&T showed increases in wireless subscriptions after recently reporting quarter two revenues in July of 2012. Steve Largent, President and CEO of CTIA indicates the consensus of experts is that the demand for wireless devices and services will skyrocket more than 50 times in the next five years, leading to a need for more spectrum.

Supply and demand is exemplified in this: with the demand for data, wireless service and subsequently spectrum, comes the need for supply of infrastructure facilitating these services and frequencies—cell towers. Although demand for wireless connectivity is ever-growing, property owners who are leasing their land for cell tower placement, are not paid accordingly. Without willing property owners leasing their private land for cell tower and telecom equipment placement, wireless subscribers would be left without sustainable service.

Vertical Consultants, a Nashville, Tennessee based telecom consulting firm successfully advocates cell tower property owners’ monetary rights within their cell tower leases. Increasing cell tower rents by an average of 98% and recovering over 100 years’ worth of cell tower rents and expenses collectively since its 2010 inception, are both testaments to the disparity between property owners and telecom companies/tower developers. These stats, along with other proven results across North America, allow Vertical Consultants to bill itself as the only true landowner advocate and cell tower lease consulting expert in the industry.

Hugh Odom, President of Vertical Consultants, state “The numbers do not lie, more people are using more wireless devices than ever before and it is only is going to increase. What does this mean for property owners? Simply, the cell towers on property owners' land are becoming more and more valuable to the companies leasing space on these towers.”
