AIS, Thailand’s largest mobile operator with a 17 million subscriber base, is expanding the mLIVE! Service. AIS launched mLIVE! last year to 1 million subscribers. Following a highly successful launch resulting in a dramatic boost of mobile content uptake, AIS is expanding the service to 8 million subscribers by the end of this year. mLIVE! is based on Celltick’s interactive broadcast technology uniquely able to communicate with millions of users in real time. The new agreement with Celltick Technologies includes expansion of the existing LiveScreen Media platform and Content Management Services.
mLIVE! users enjoy streams of free news headlines, sport reports, weather updates, music stories, gossip, horoscopes and games as well as prize winning trivia and quizzes directly on their idle screens. Just like a screen saver, the messages appear silently only when the phone is not in use, letting users access a variety of content and data services with a two-click reaction. Using Celltick's LiveScreen Media platform, mLIVE! subscribers are offered segmented and personalized content and promotions, critically important for sponsored content and cross media campaigns. During its first year of operation mLIVE! delivered exceptional results: over 40% used mLIVE! on a monthly basis, resulting in over 300,000 downloads a day. Acceding to subscriber demands, mLIVE! - the Active Content Discovery service - will become available for most subscribers.
