GoingCellular.com Launches the First Location Based Carrier Review Engine

Mobile industry website GoingCellular.com announces today the launch of their new location based review engine that allows consumers to compare carriers by their geographic locations.

Guelph, ON (PRWEB) August 4, 2009 -- GoingCellular.com, a website reporting on the mobile industry owned by website publisher MFE Interactive, announced today that it has launched the first ever location based review engine for cell phone service providers.

Going Cellular is a cellular news website that features reviews on cell phone carriers, as well as consumer focused information related to them. The launch of the new review engine allows consumers to compare providers based on the consumer's location. "We know that cellular service can vary greatly by coverage area. US Cellular may have the best rated service in Chicago, while T-Mobile is may be the highest rated in New York. The new engine allows us to let consumers search for carrier reviews based on coverage in their area and not solely by the carrier names on a national scale," stated Rae Hoffman, VP of Marketing for GoingCellular.com.

Utilizing over 4000 consumer reviews left by users on Going Cellular, as well as its sister sites PrepaidReviews.com and BBGeeks.com, the review engine allows consumers to enter their zip code or city, state and even street name to find reviews of various service providers from other consumers near their locale, all charted on maps for easy viewing.

"When you do a search for Chicago, Illinois you see that US Cellular is rated the highest while AT&T is rated the lowest for the area. You can navigate to see reviews of each provider in the area and get a feel for what local consumers are raving and/or complaining about. A search for New York, NY quickly reveals that T-mobile customers seem to be the happiest while Alltel customers seem to be least satisfied," stated Hoffman. "We hope to continue to add reviews daily to make the tool as useful as possible to consumers. The more reviews we get, the more useful the tool becomes."

Established in 2008, GoingCellular.com offers in-depth review information on the major U.S. cell phone service providers and features user-contributed reviews on those same providers. In addition, the site provides daily coverage on the mobile industry with special attention to the carriers and service providers and is the home to the first location based cell phone service review engine.
