North Myrtle Beach, SC (PRWEB) July 1, 2009
CENTURY 21 Thomas, a leading provider of professionally managed vacation rental homes and condominiums in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is anticipating a busy and exciting 4th of July week. Despite the "off" economy, families are still making last-minute reservations for what's shaping up to be a week filled with fun events for everyone.
Many of the large six to eight bedroom vacation villas are proving extremely popular as guests decide to enjoy shared vacations with extended families and close friends. By pooling their funds they get exceptional value for their vacation dollars and top-notch accommodations. Many families are extending their budgets by making use of the fully equipped kitchens in each home. Features such as family game rooms, private pools, hot tubs, and grills for cookouts and barbeques are proving very popular, too.
There's an amazing abundance of festivals and events planned for the upcoming weeks. North Myrtle Beach will have its 17th Annual Freedom Fireworks Extravaganza on the Fourth. Join us on the beach to see, hear and feel the rockets and starbursts off the Cherry Grove Pier at 3500 North Ocean Boulevard. The show starts at 9:30 so don't be late!
Myrtle Beach's Broadway at the Beach will have their "Star Spangled Celebration" with sidewalk sales, street performers and more. Come out and enjoy a free concert of patriotic tunes and beach music and an exciting fireworks show over Lake Broadway. The fun goes on all day and the fireworks start at 10.
Barefoot Landing - North Myrtle Beach's award-winning shopping, dining and entertainment complex - will be celebrating with SummerFest on the Fourth. You'll find boardwalk entertainers delighting all with face painting and balloon animals, magicians, stilt-walkers and strolling musicians. And, of course, a dynamite fireworks display over the lake at 10:15.
A little further south, you can enjoy the 26th Annual July 4th Boat Parade in Murrell's Inlet. Line up along the scenic marsh walk and watch as the long queue of festively decorated boats cruise the creek. While you're there, savor some world-class local seafood. The boat parade will be at high tide and the fireworks will start around 10 o'clock.
Nothing is more "American" than a baseball game on the 4th of July! Come out to the BB&T/Coastal Field and watch our favorite boys of summer, the Myrtle Beach Pelicans - the Atlanta Braves Class 'A' Team. See tomorrow's stars today as they take on the Salem Avalanche at 7pm. Great seats from $7 to $11 and tons of fun for all!
So, grab your flip-flops and sunglasses and head to the beach for a week of unending fun. We'll see you there!
