Certified Payment Processing (CPP) recently announced that Leo Farias has been promoted from Manager to Director of the Telemarketing Call Center.
The CPP Telemarketing Call Center employs 175 people. The center uses a state-of-the-art predictive dialer which is loaded with leads that target small and medium-sized businesses throughout the country. Each day, appointment planners make outbound calls to business owners in order to set qualified appointments for field sales consultants to present CPP’s payment processing equipment and specialized merchant services. The CPP call center sets between 1,000 to 1,500 appointments each weekday.
In this expanded role, Farias will continue to oversee the work of the call center, but his duties will become more strategic. He will be responsible for improving efficiencies in the processes of the call center, performance management, goal setting and budgeting. Farias will work with Human Resources in the hiring of new staff, and coordinate with the Training and Development Department to develop better ways to train and retain new employees. In addition, he will interface with the sales divisions to coordinate and develop interaction, understanding and communication. He will have 16 people reporting to him, including team supervisors and technical support. He will concentrate on developing the leadership in the department. Farias has been with CPP for six years.
