SALT LAKE CITY (PRWEB) November 7, 2007
Participants in both competitions will spend more than an estimated 1.5 million hours preparing for and participating in the competitions.
The Worldwide Competition on Microsoft Office tests an individual's desktop productivity skills on Microsoft Office Word 2003 and Excel(R) 2003. Current students enrolled in an approved, degree-seeking academic institution are eligible to compete. Participating countries will host local competitions to determine Country Champions who then advance to compete against other select finalists in a championship round to be staged this summer in the United States.
The World Champions of Word and Excel(R) will receive a grand-prize package of technological tools valued at $4,500 USD.
The IC(3) World Cup is a team-based competition in which any school, business or community organization is eligible to participate. Team members can earn points for their respective teams as they individually prepare for and achieve the Certiport IC(3) certification for digital literacy. Each team can register an unlimited number of teammates as long as all the point-generating activity occurs at a single testing center.
Members of the winning team for the IC(3) World Cup will divide up to $10,000 in prizes, which includes an all-expense-paid trip this summer to Certiport PATHWAYS(TM) 2008 for the team coach.
