It's amazing. I was talking with my ISP the other day and mention chai, and suddenly the guy lights up saying, 'oh yeah! I love chai! Let me tell you how I make it!' So it's out there and you never know. The trouble is that a lot of these people are not connected to one another. And that is what chai-tea.org can help to change.

Grey Wolf Community Services' Chai! Spiced Milk Tea website has been the definitive online resource for chai tea information and chai tea recipes since 1995. In recent years, however, the website was no longer being updated as the founders no longer had time to pursue and promote their passion for chai. That has now changed with the appointment of Content Director Gary Osborne.
"Chai is still relatively unheard of in the US. Sure you'll see it as an option at a few coffeehouses and Starbucks. But in fact that's not real chai tea. It's actually a weak and exceptionally sweetened form of chai known as a chai latte," Gary continues. "We think if more people tried the real thing, chai tea would become wildly popular. Our goal is to gradually promote it to a higher awareness in this country."
Isn't that a daunting task? "Just one person at a time. All we have to do is offer the information - what chai is - and when people discover how good it is, they convert themselves! Then they tell others." Gary adds, "It's amazing. I was talking with my ISP the other day and mention chai, and suddenly the guy lights up saying, 'oh yeah! I love chai! Let me tell you how I make it!' So it's out there and you never know. The trouble is that a lot of these people are not connected to one another. And that is what chai-tea.org can help to change."
Regarding his appointment as new Content Director, Gary says, "So many people have found this Chai Tea website to be a great community service, that I'm happy to be able to upgrade it to become even better. We have lots of plans for ongoing development."
"The first thing we wanted to do was move the domain to an appropriate location. And Chai-tea.org was the right URL," Gary says. Previously the website was located at Odie.org/chai. As the website ranks well for its keywords, it was critical that this be accomplished smoothly.
"We also began adding new content right away," he says. "Look for a Chai message board system to be deployed soon, which will help create a more immediate interaction between enthusiasts, allowing them to share chai recipes, chai experiences, chai lifestyle interests and more."
Also planned is a campaign to promote chai as a healthy coffee substitute. "There are a lot of coffee drinkers out there who are unhappy. They know coffee and caffeine is something they should cut down on, but they don't know there is a better tasting coffee substitute out there, with far less caffeine, plus a variety of health benefits." Gary says, "The health benefits of chai are significant."
