For those with a new car on their holiday wish list, automobile shoppers may see better deals with a lower demand for cars between Thanksgiving and Christmas, according to Kelley Blue Book. For dealerships wanting to bring their sales numbers up during this generally slow season, Members Only Automotive offers a solution that drives sales and helps a local charity.
“Using a three-tiered sales approach, we are able to sell 40 percent of a dealer’s inventory during a five-day sales event,” said Roe Hubbard, CEO of Members Only Automotive. “At the same time, we are able to help a local charity by donating a portion of the sales back to them. People have a strong desire to give back, particularly during the holiday season, making this an ideal time to do one of our sales events.”
Members Only Automotive sales campaigns have raised more than $220,000 for charities that have included the American Red Cross, Toys For Tots, Susan G. Komen for the Cure and Habitat for Humanity.
Phil Waterford’s Manteca Ford & Exotic High Line in Manteca, California, regularly uses Members Only Automotive for sales campaigns. The dealership recently contributed to Second Harvest Food Bank’s Food 4 Thought program, which provides groceries to 3,600 area children in need. The campaign was held in conjunction with Hunger Awareness Month, with $100 donated to the charity for every car sold.
“It’s very rewarding to see the dealerships give back and have a major impact within their community, while going beyond their sales goals,” Hubbard said. “The dealerships often choose to help a charity that one of their employees might have a personal connection to or an organization making a major difference in their community.”
Manteca Ford has even used Members Only Automotive campaigns to help individuals in the community who are in need. A recent campaign helped fund the medical care and rehabilitation needs of a 5-year-old girl who sustained brain damage when she was accidently left in a hot car for three hours.
At the sales charity event, for every car sold, $200 was donated for the treatment of the girl. To help draw an even larger crowd, the dealership held a raffle with free tickets for chances to win a remote-controlled Ford Mustang, flat screen television and cash prizes.
“I know from experience that whenever your back is against the wall, you're in a perfect place for a miracle. I also believe that through God's grace, this young child will learn to walk, talk and live a normal productive life,” said Phil Waterford, Manteca Ford & Exotic High Line president and owner. “I truly believe that if enough people care, we can change anything.”
