The survey, which was conducted on the Cheerleading Blog website, asked readers how long they’ve been a cheerleader. Nearly 500 votes were cast during the month of March. The option “1-3 years” accounted for an overwhelming 52% of votes. The second most popular choice was 4-6 years.
“These results give us great perspective on who reads the blog. We gear many of our articles towards the newer cheerleader as we understand they are often looking for the most advice and tips,” said Jessica Rzeszut, Chassé marketing manager.
April’s four Wednesday posts are, in fact, dedicated towards the new cheerleader. Every Wednesday, a new article will cover an aspect of the cheerleading year and what new cheerleaders should expect. Topics include tryouts, camp, fundraising events, games, and competitions.
“During this time of year, we see a lot of new cheerleaders! New members are preparing for a big year of firsts, starting with camp in the summer,” said Melissa Darcey, Cheerleading Blog editor.
The poll, which was conducted this past month, was posted on the home page of the blog as well in a dedicated article. The full results of the poll can be viewed on Cheerleading Blog’s website.
A new poll is posted each month on the blog and the results are revealed the following month. The latest poll is now open for voting.
