The beach is a day trip for most when the sun comes out or holiday destination, a nice day or week relaxing in the sun appeals too many. Cheap.co.uk has detailed the top 10 dangerous beaches in the world.
A spokesmen for the company advised: “it gave some staff members something a little different to do and the chance to view some truly lovely beaches and holiday destinations even if it was just in picture form.”
The list compiled included some well know holiday locations and amazing beaches including Smyrna Beach in Florida, often referred to as the shark bite capital and the beach which helped bring about the Jaws novel, the Long Island beach in New Jersey.
The spokesmen continued: “of course many of us think of heading to the beach for the day when it’s sunny or when we are going away, it offers a nice alternative to our usual day to day routine and a relaxing time away but there are potential hazards as has been unfortunately proven in the last week.”
“to help stay safe its best to make a note of the exit points from the beach, be aware of the tide and to obey any signs.”
Earlier this month two divers luckily escaped an encounter with a great white shark off the western coast of Australia (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/13/great-white-australia-divers-video_n_1671894.html) and the unfortunate events in Dorset.
