Travel extras company Cheap.co.uk advises they are looking to assist any airport parking customers that have experienced problems relating to the Gatwick to Orlando flights emergency landing.
Flights in and out of Gatwick airport were suspended yesterday (Monday 16th April 2012) after the Virgin flight VS27 from Gatwick heading to Orlando airport in the US had to return to London Gatwick airport not long after take-off. The cause of the planes return was smoke being reported in the cabin. The incident was reported by multiple new sites including the Telegraph and Guardian.
A spokesmen for Cheap.co.uk commented: “of course we are looking to assist any of our Gatwick airport parking customers who have been unfortunately either involved in the evacuation of the Virgin flight or those caught up in the backlog of delayed flights. We will assist were possible and as required for those who contact us in whatever way we can, we know those who were involved in the clearance of the aircraft have been in a traumatic experience and we will make it as easy as possible for them to speak to a member of staff and we can arrange cancellations or rebooking’s from here in a timely manner.”
Last Friday (the 13th April 2012) five flights were delayed after a hot air balloon drifted close to the flightpath for Gatwick departures. (courtesy of BBC news).
