Online travel extras company Cheap.co.uk highlights the No 1 Lounge at Birmingham Airport as a featured airport lounge for November 2012 and a perfect choice for travellers using the airport.

With panoramic runway views, a fully tended bar and complimentary food and drink the lounge offers all the features expected of the most modern of airport lounges but the food menu is what really sets it apart from its Birmingham piers.

The complimentary Menu (at time of writing) includes:

Breakfast: cereals, pastries, fruit salad and yoghurt
Daytime: salads, bread and cheese, soup, cakes, flapjacks, brownies and fruit.
Available all day: sausage or bacon roll, poached egg pot, classic welsh rarebit

Then theres the competitively priced a la carte menu which includes a thai green curry and stuffed chicken breast amongst other meals.

A spokesmen for Cheap commented: “the Number 1 lounge at Birmingham airport is a fabulous choice for travellers using the airport which is why it has been highlighted as a features lounge.”

With prices starting at £22.50 per person the lounge isn’t the cheapest option available at Birmingham through Cheap.co.uk but the additional features make it a reasonable choice. Those looking for cheap Birmingham airport lounges will possibly consider either the Aspire or 4 Desk lounges with prices from £17.49 and £15 respectively.

They continued: “Almost all lounges offer snacks similar to the No 1s complimentary menu, but the Birmingham lounge also has an a la carte menu and whilst there are additional costs for this these are just as competitive as prices found in the main terminal building.”

Cheap.co.uk offers a number of travel extras including cheap Birmingham airport parking and travel insurance.
