National Real Estate Referral Company Helping Fund Cancer Research

The donations from Realty Alliance Incorporated provide much needed support for our organization. In these difficult economic times finding new ways to fund critical research and programs is essential.

Realty Alliance Incorporated (RAI), a national real estate referral company, is pleased to announce their latest donation of $1328.44 to the Jefferson County, West Virginia chapter of the American Cancer Society. The check was presented on January 16th at the law office of Michael Briel in Charles Town, West Virginia. These donations were possible because of RAI’s unique approach to providing funding to non-profits through real estate transactions. The stated purpose of RAI is to provide funding for America’s non-profits through real estate transactions. Any designated 501(c) organization can utilize RAI to drive fundraising efforts at their organization with no cost to the non-profit.

The local chapter of the American Cancer Society will use these much needed funds to help fund research and their unique programs that provide support to cancer patients. Some of the programs that this donation will help fund include:

  •     Look Good Feel Better Program - Cosmetologists helping cancer patients feel better during chemotherapy treatments
  •     Road to Recovery - Providing transportation to and from treatment appointments
  •     Relay for Life - A hallmark fundraising event for the American Cancer Society.
  •     Reach to Recovery – A program to provide support to Breast Cancer patients

Dan Hart, Chapter President of the Jefferson County American Cancer Society said, “The donations from Realty Alliance Incorporated provide much needed support for our organization. In these difficult economic times finding new ways to fund critical research and programs are essential.”

Mary Carrigan, a local partner real estate agent and fourteen year veteran of the real estate industry, provided her professional services for this residential real estate transaction. Carrigan said, “The transaction was seamless for myself as well as my client. With over 40 years of combined experience in real estate general broker and real estate law RAI has the referral and donation process well organized.”

The Jefferson County chapter of the American Cancer Society is gearing up for their annual Relay for Life fundraising event.
