CODi® started shipping its CT3 Checkpoint-Tested™ case this week with the promise of making navigating airport security quick, easy and hassle free.

With CODi's early introduction of its fully-functional checkpoint friendly laptop carrying cases, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is responding rapidly to ensure that security checkpoint officers are trained to recognize the new case designs, which eliminate the need for travelers to remove their laptop from the case for screening. TSA announced yesterday that training will be completed by August 16, 2008.

"Because we're in a unique position in that we have a domestic design and production facility, we were able to very quickly respond to the TSA's request for information, and ultimately be first to market with a true checkpoint-tested product," said Julie Bancroft, Marketing Communications Manager for CODi. Adding, "We've responded so quickly, we're finding ourselves ahead of the curve in terms of airport preparedness for the new technology. Our case is available now, nearly two weeks before airport training is complete. But, the TSA has expedited training in anticipation of travelers passing through with checkpoint friendly cases, and our case has been fully tested live in several major airports."

CODi's CT3 Checkpoint-Tested™ case has a unique patent pending butterfly design that keeps the laptop completely separate from any peripherals or accessories, allowing a clear x-ray image without the need to ever remove the laptop. The innovative design allows travelers to grab the case with only one hand for a speedy departure from the security checkpoint.

The CT3 Checkpoint-Tested™, made in the USA, case retails for $225.00 and can be purchased at codidirect.com or by calling CODi at 800.263.4462. It will also be available at select luggage retailers later this summer.
