Wing Town Café, an Oakland restaurant that specializes in chicken wings in Oakland, is sponsoring Fremont High School’s new uniforms for their basketball team. The team will be sporting new green and gold Game Time Sports gear this basketball season, courtesy of Wing Town Café.

Socially responsible owners Calvin and Lamont Andrews expressed the desire to give back to the community, so they had the uniforms made by Game Town Sports Gear and presented them to coach Scott Alexander.

“We pride ourselves for being local business owners who contribute to making Oakland a great place to live,” said Andrews. “We care about our local customers and want those who do business with Wing Town Café to have a part in bettering the community.”
Oakland’s Wing Town Café is a popular stop for hot chicken wings and chicken strips. The gourmet chicken menu features chicken in various flavors from spicy to lemon pepper to honey barbecue. Their “Ooh Wee” sauce is a secret recipe and local success.

Party platters range from individual 10-wing to party-size 500-wing. The café also offers sides like crispy french fries, brown sugar baked beans, fresh cole slaw and healthy salads.

“It is my belief that there exists a secret national organization whose sole objective is to ensure that good wings do not cross the Mississippi such that all good wings exist solely on the East Coast,” said Wing Town Café customer Dan K. “Wing Town Café has found a loophole. The wings here are large, superbly cooked, and well seasoned. The hot ones were hot and juicy, the lemon peppers were lemony with a dry skin but juicy insides, and the barbeque was saucy and sweet. Most definitely the best wings I have had on the West Coast. The fries didn't even make it home-- we had eaten them on the car ride back.”
