It often takes many years before survivors of child abuse are able to talk about it with others.
London, England (PRWEB UK) 9 August 2012
AO Advocates, a leading law firm which represents survivors of child sexual abuse in both England and Wales, have revealed that they have revamped their website, with the aim of making it much easier to use and far more informative.
The highly experienced firm, whose lawyers have 25 years’ experience in obtaining civil justice for victims of clergy sex abuse, have decided to opt for a clean, new design. Taking full advantage of the new website, AO Advocates have added brand new videos and a blog, which is tailored to assist survivors of child sex abuse in completely understanding the legal options that are available to them.
Following a well-received keynote address of AO Advocates’ partner, Dr Ann Olivarius, to the Association of Child Abuse Lawyers in London, the newly-developed website’s main aim is to extend the firm’s outreach to those who have been hurt by child abused – and in particular, those abused by priests or other clergy.
The new website, combined with an increased social media presence via Facebook and Twitter, make it simpler than ever for survivors to get in contact with any questions and enquiries that they may want to put forward.
Dr Olivarius commented on the redesigned website, mentioning that “it often takes many years before survivors of child abuse are able to talk about it with others.
“The Internet is a wonderful tool because it allows survivors to see that they are not alone, and that there are ways to get help - at their own pace.
“We hope our new online presence will make this easier.”
