(GVT), a premiere software developer specializing in providing cost-effective, easy-to-use software applications, has signed a 3 year contract extension with the State of Michigan's Department of Human Services for $4.8 Million for products and services. The total contract, which started early 2001 is now valued at just over $14 million.
The GVT software application provides a framework and critical, secure, web-based access to records and forms concerning the care and treatment of children in the Child Welfare/Juvenile Justice arena throughout the state of Michigan. The system currently serves approximately 1000 users. Multiple agencies, including private providers and courts are able to use this system to better track the children in the state system. The application provides a web-based version of the child welfare and juvenile justice portion of similar SACWIS systems. GVT provides software development, software maintenance, support personnel and highly available redundant geographically diverse hosting as part of this contract.
