With the giving season at hand, Forbes magazine ranks Children International, a humanitarian organization, as a top charity.

With the giving season at hand, Forbes magazine ranks Children International, a humanitarian organization, as a top charity.

Forbes rated Children International based upon three financial efficiency ratios and the trend from the previous year. Their survey judged Children International based upon the following criteria:

  • fundraising efficiency
  • charitable commitment
  • donor dependency

President and CEO of Children International Jim Cook said, "In these challenging times, it is more important than ever for generous donors to have a high level of confidence in charities they support. We're proud that Forbes recognizes Children International as being a top charity that has earned that confidence."

Children International received more than $128 million in direct public support last year from over 300,000 donors - making it possible for the organization to dramatically improve the lives of more than 320,000 needy children throughout the world.
