Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) December 25, 2011
In the five years through 2016, total revenue of the Paper and Paperboard Manufacturing industry in China will increase at an average annual rate of 8.9%, reaching US$75.42 billion in 2016. The main drivers of industry growth will be steady increases in overall domestic demand; gradual economic growth in central and western regions in China; and growth in the industry's exports, according to IBISWorld, America’s largest publisher of industry research.
The Paper and Paperboard Container Manufacturing industry comprises establishments that convert paperboard into containers without manufacturing paperboard. The industry purchases paper, paperboard and old corrugated containers from mills and converts them into paperboard containers. It includes corrugated paperboard containers, folding or solid cartons made of other paper, paper sacks, paper bags, file boxes and file sacks.
IBISWorld analysis of the Paper and Paperboard Container Manufacturing industry during 2011 shows that industry revenue is expected to amount to US$49.34 billion during the year, up 15.9% from 2010, with average annualized increases of 20.4% since 2006. Weaker growth in 2009 was influenced by the global financial crisis, resulting in a drop in demand for paper and paperboard products by downstream industries.
Industry output increased from 22.3 million tons of paper products, including 13.8 million tons of paperboard boxes in 2006, to a forecast 55 million tons and 31 million tons, respectively, in 2011.
