ViaSat Honored in China for Excellence in VSAT Equipment: Industry Vote Recognizes Leadership in Developing Satellite Communications in China

ViaSat Inc. (Nasdaq:VSAT) has been named as the only "Excellence VSAT Equipment Providing Enterprise" in the 2007 Excellence Brand Enterprises in Chinese Application Industry awards program. The company was also voted number one of five "Foreign Excellence Brand Enterprises." Individuals from communication industry companies in China voted for nominated companies online at a web site hosted by Digital Communication World Magazine. A panel of experts, the Evaluating Activity Organizing Committee, also weighed in on the final award recipients.

These brand enterprises represent the nucleus of power in the Chinese satellite application industry. We expect that these enterprises will cherish their honors and make new contributions to accelerate the development of the Chinese satellite application industry.

Michael Jin, regional director of the ViaSat Beijing office, accepted the award. The office provides satellite communication system sales, consulting, and engineering support to China and the region.

"We are very honored by this acknowledgment of our hard work in China," said Jin. "We also take very seriously the committee's expectations that we will continue to bring new ideas and developments to the Chinese satellite communications industry."
