For the first time companies can now have direct access from the UK to Chinese business and consumer markets via digital marketing. Qumin has launched to provide Localised Website Design, Organic Search (SEO), Social Media, and Paid Search and Display (PPC) services in China through account management in Britain.
As well as the unique proposition of running cutting edge Western digital marketing practice to the Far East, Qumin also operates in the other direction on behalf of Chinese companies, and in a conventional manner in the UK within the domestic B2C and B2B markets.
With offices in Central London and Shanghai, Qumin is the brainchild of digital marketing professional Arnold Ma, who has worked at the forefront of practice in London for many years. He believes that employing a mixture of British and native Chinese creatives, technical experts and account managers will create a user friendly model for UK companies to open up the biggest fast growing marketplace in the World. It allows activity on digital platforms in China, managed from the UK, that talk directly to target Chinese audiences, build databases and create distribution networks.
In addition to supplying services to end user clients, Qumin also offers a white label service to other agencies and consultancies that require outsourced Chinese digital marketing assistance.
Qumin is also unique in another respect. The founding partners are from a broad spectrum of marketing backgrounds, which provides the agency with strategic and creative planning skills that effectively brings digital into the strategic marketing mix. Key roles will be played by former Creative Circle President Reg Starkey, and data pioneer Jeremy Whitaker, as well as those with conventional promotional marketing and public relations skills.
‘We have the experience to operate in both China and the West, but this should not overshadow the fact that we believe we will move digital marketing forward significantly by applying the knowledge of leading practitioners from outside the digital world. It will mean digital can move out of its niche position and into the strategic mix,’ says Ma.
The agency already has several household blue chip clients, plus accounts with agencies requiring a white label Chinese digital service.
