Part of learning to live a sober life is learning how to have fun in sobriety. Recovery Associates, a Christian Rehab Center, holds planned outings and events for clients to enjoy.

Clients at Recovery Associates' Christian Rehab Center are invited to go on fishing trips, scavenger hunts, Open Mic nights—all as part of the program. The Alumni Program director shares how rewarding these events can be, “It’s amazing to watch clients really embrace their new found sobriety. It’s normal for people in early sobriety to feel like they won’t be able to have fun without drugs and alcohol. One of the lies that we tell ourselves in our active addiction is that getting high is fun and that we would be bored if we didn’t use. Of course the truth is that, at the end, many of us were getting high alone and were miserable. Planned sober events shows them that not only can they be in a social situation without a drink or a drug and still connect to people, but that they can laugh until their stomachs hurt and not wake up with a hangover the next day.”

Recovery Associates is a Christian drug and alcohol treatment center that provides a variety of programs and services for men, women and teens struggling with chemical dependency issues. At the core of their philosophy is the belief that addiction is a treatable illness. Their addiction treatment experience has shown that anyone is capable of achieving lasting recovery and physical, mental and spiritual freedom from the disease of addiction.

Their unique program offers three different tracks: a Traditional Track, an Expressive Therapies Track and a Christian Drug Rehab Track. They believe that by utilizing a variety of therapies they can better assist their clients in finding their own individualized path to recovery. Their focus is on the underlying issues that have led to the addictive behaviors and destructive patterns.
