Changing the Face of Christianity Inc. is researching how good and bad experiences with Christians have impacted faith and religious choices, via an online survey open to the public. The survey seeks to collect personal Christian experience stories as well as evaluate how those experiences influence views of Christianity. The research also seeks to discover any correlation between such experiences and later decisions to join or withdraw from Christianity.

Have you had a bad experience with a Christian? Have you had a good experience with a Christian?

Tell us your story and how the experience has impacted your faith/religious choices.

“People choose or reject a religion for many reasons. We believe a key factor is the personal experience with members of that faith. We are collecting people’s positive and negative Christian experience stories and asking how those experiences have impacted their religious decisions.”, says R. Brad White, founder of Changing the Face of Christianity Inc.

The survey asks respondents to share their story; good or bad. Then participants are asked how the experience has influenced their view of Christianity. Finally, a set of before and after questions seeks to evaluate the correlation to shifts in belief or religious affiliation.

White continues, “We’re trying to identify the Christian behaviors that push people away from Christianity, and the behaviors that attract people to our faith. Anyone who has ever left the faith has a story. And people who make a conscious decision to be Christian also have a story. Have you had a bad experience with a Christian? Have you had a good experience with a Christian? Tell us your story and how the experience has impacted your faith/religious choices.”

“Our organization’s goal is to reverse negative Christian stereotypes by helping Christians to be more like Jesus Christ. We hope to educate Christians on what we are doing that causes people to doubt or reject our religion. Conversely, we want to encourage and develop those behaviors which help people to be open to our faith.”, says R. Brad White.

The survey is open to the public; Christians, former Christians, and others. To share an experience and be part of the survey, visit http://www.changingthefaceofchristianity.com/christian-experience-stories/

R. Brad White concedes, “We know that reasons behind a faith decision are varied and not always easy to define. For some, it’s an intellectual decision. For others it’s ideological or completely spiritual. We aren’t seeking black or white answers through our survey. We are seeking to make sense of and gain greater clarity of the grey. And we look forward to sharing some compelling stories.”
